Note to Self ..

September 7, 2008 – 11:00 am

Update blog when you come back from a trip.  LOL!  I have not actually been gone this whole time!  I am now realizing that I did not write actually dates that I would be gone!

Anyhoo, I’m back now and working away.  I have one session that I hope to get blogged soon (fingers crossed).  I am patiently waiting on a few new babes to make their way into the world and will be sharing them soon as well!

I am adding an image from our mini vacation.  My little cousin has the coolest room, painted with a rainbow, flowers, and fairies.  My little one thought it was the most magical place, and stayed in there playing and making new friends ..

Our next family project has become painting the girls room into their own magical fairy wonderland!  Now the next trick is finding the time, lol!

Out of Office

August 24, 2008 – 1:29 am

*A quick note to everyone*  I will be out of the office until Thursday for a much needed couple days “off” with my girls.  Email and phone access will be limited.  Immediate questions or concerns will be responded to as soon as possible, however most emails and phone messages will be returned when I get back.  If you have had a newborn, please call (403) 352-1432.  Then we can get you scheduled in asap.

Okay, enough news from me …

Please meet Mr. C!  It seems I have had a lot of “C” names lately, lol!  This little fella was so good for me.  Mom and Dad, thank you so much for having me come and photograph your gorgeous baby boy!  Here are just a quick few from this sweetie’s session.

Photography as Art ~ Canvas

I take pride and pour my heart into every image I capture.  I offer my clients something that they will not just keep, but also adore for generations.  I strive to capture the very essence of now, this time, these moments.

The truth is, many of us have art in our homes in some medium.  Often times, they are generic numbered pieces, #xxx out of some #xx, xxx printed.  My clients as well as myself, crave something unique.  Something with heart, passion and emotion.  Something custom with an emphasis on quality.  Their own family as art.  I take limited sessions and personally work closely with each client to make this a reality for them.

Truly unique and stunning, this 40×60 fine art canvas, will be out in a public display within the week.  This single piece will be replacing the 5 canvas I currently have on display at this location right now.  If you are in Red Deer and enjoy your caffeinated beverages as much as I do, chances are you will come across this canvas very soon!

Baby Boy C ~ Newborn

This handsome little man was snug as a bug with this lovely Mama, not too long ago! I am always so grateful when I have the opportunity to photograph both the maternity images and the newborn images for a client. It is such a fabulous time for me to capture, and be a part of a family’s story.

I am painfully, hopelessly, endlessly in love with what I do.

Oh goodness, where oh where have I been? It has been a couple of super busy weeks around here. Unfortunately when I get all my August babes deciding to arrive the same week (even a super eager little man not due until October), my blog pays the price, lol!

This Mama has been super patient waiting for her sneak peak here on the blog. Thank you so much for the fabulous day! I can hardly wait to meet your little fella when he arrives!

It’s hard to really sit down to write about why I loved this session so much. I had a fantastic time with such a wonderful, laid back family. Their beautiful children were so amazingly good for me. The best thing of all is, the images we created that day leave me speechless - I love them. I put off making this blog post because I wasn’t sure which of the images I have gotten to go through so far, to post. I think it is best to leave the words at that and go ahead to post some images.

The best feature of this gorgeous blog of mine, is that I can post BIG images! So I decided to post this first image bigger than usual. It is truly hard to get the full beauty of an image on a computer monitor, but we will try ;)

Mama

I thought I would pop by quick and say hello! It has been a busy week in our house as we have had two birthdays, one still to come, and to make things interesting my husband was away working in Saskatchewan (home now, thank goodness). I am a little tired but still feeling pretty good, lol!

I photographed this beautiful Mama last week. Thank you so much for having me, I had so much fun coming to hang out!

I am on my way to photograph a brand new babe this morning. I will be back again soon!
